A Very Well Engineered Specialty Tool

Comment:
The ultimate drill for tight spaces. Beautifully designed. It gushes quality and purpose.
The business end is 2.58" toe-to-heel.
Buy this if you...
- Often drill in tight spaces
. . . OR
- Like to collect and fondle gorgeous tools
If not, a right-angle attachment such as the Shop Fox D2960 Right Angle Drill Attachment will resolve your occasional tight-clearance drama.
I also use it as a 3rd drill when multiple bits are in play. But for regular use, the boring power drills you already own handle better. The funky chuck, and the other flaws mentioned by critical reviewers: slightly annoying...until your remember that it's a pure-bred specialty tool.

Lots of power, fits in tight spaces

Great right angle drill. The built in light is nice. Power control is a bit touchy, a clutch would be a great addition. Overall, a tough, reliable tool.

Great close quarters drill

Comment:
As with most others who bought this drill I picked it because it has the lowest clearance around. I'm not a plumpber looking to drill 5" holes through floor joists so I didn't need a monster drill.
I bought this drill to drill holes in my sill plate and foundation to install anchor bolts. My floor joists are only 2x8 so I needed this small drill because the other drills would barely fit without a drill bit. Even though this drill isn't designed for drilling concrete it worked great. Plenty of power with little 'kickback' when the drill bit binds.
The light is a great feature and is more helpful than I thought it would be. The drill is also excellent for driving screws in tight places thanks to the variable speed.
Need a right-angle drill? Then this is the one for you!

Comment:
This is a very nice piece of equipment. It is a bit expensive but it is truly a professional quality tool. The LED light is nice but not a necessity for my purposes. I live in an RV so there is not a lot of room to work in many cases and this drill makes those difficult to access areas a breeze to work in.
It would be nice if someone made a set of short drill bits to go along with it as many times the standard length bits are just too long to use.

High quality but not the best screwdriver

Comment:
This is a very well built tool and it can get into really tight spaces. It does a great job drilling but be aware that using it to drive screws is tricky just like most other corded drills. The gearing is not set up for finessing screws snug without over driving or bunging up the heads. You can do it with the variable speed control but it takes a nimble touch. Not easy, but doable.
