With a metal gear housing for increased durability, this hammerdrill is capable of 51,000 BPM. Its capacity in steel and concrete is 1/2 inches, and 1-1/4 inches in wood. The hammerdrill also includes a 360-degree side handle with a depth rod for added control, a soft grip handle and mid-handle design for added balance and comfort, and a reversing brush system to provide full power in forward and in reverse. Backed by a 2-year limited warranty, the DR650B comes with a chuck key and holder, a side handle, a depth rod, and a storage bag.

Good Value, Hard to Change Gears

I received this drill as a gift, and have not used it extensively yet, but overall I'm quite pleased. The only negative I've seen so far is that the knob that switches between gears is extremely difficult to turn. I'm not able to turn it without using pliers to start it. Otherwise, it seems to be a great value for a powerful corded drill.

For the price, this is an excellent drill for the homeowner. I've used it in both regular and hammer modes and it worked perfectly for both. We own a brick home and undoubtedly will use the drill occasionally for projects around the house. The drill is not constructed for commercial use but is perfect for the average homeowner/handyperson.
